BIT-20 Preservative

Overview

BIT-20 is a low-toxicity biocide specifically developed to prevent bacterial and fungal growth in water-based products under humid conditions. It is suitable for high-temperature environments and is easily compatible with other chemicals. Ideal for emulsified oils, semi-synthetic systems, and can also be used in fully synthetic formulations.

Applications & Dosage

Applications:
BIT-20 is effective against bacteria, fungi, and mold. It is cost-effective due to its low usage rate. Additional benefits include:

• Formaldehyde-free

• Low irritation to workers skin

• Long-lasting efficacy

• Can be added at any stage of production without negatively affecting the formulation

Dosage:
Widely used in metalworking fluids. Applicable for both concentrate and in-use dilutions.

• Recommended for concentrates: 2%–3% (w/w)

• Recommended for in-use fluids: 0.1%–0.2% (w/w)

Exact dosage and compatibility should be confirmed through testing based on specific formulations.

Packaging / Storage / Transportation

• Packaging:
  30kg and 230kg sealed plastic drums, or 1150kg IBC tote tanks

• Shelf Life:
  24 months under standard room temperature conditions

• Storage:
  If sediment appears, mix thoroughly before use. This does not affect the product’s biocidal performance.

• Transportation:
  Not classified as a hazardous material for transportation

Precautions

1. Operators must wear protective clothing, rubber gloves, goggles, and masks to avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.

2. In case of skin contact, immediately wash thoroughly with water and soap.

3. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water and buffered solution.
